Acanthus directors Ron and Bob represent furniture makers at their very best with a vast experience between them, and a joint passion for furniture design and making, both directors always being personally involved at every level of design and production, to ensure your furniture reflects their excellent standards, and fulfills your needs and desires.

Principle Designer & Director
I followed my father into furniture making at 15 years of age, attended Liverpool Art college (yes they did quite rightly, teach furniture making in an Art college), and later St. James College, Liverpool. I have been involved at all levels of furniture design and manufacture, and lectured in my subject at Liverpool City College.

MY VISION FOR ACANTHUS
Is to maintain the excellent standards of design we have gained a reputation for, while adding new materials, techniques and designs that push us that little bit beyond bespoke.

Production & Technical
Becoming a furniture maker for me was the fulfillment of my childhood dreams, after attending Liverpool Art College and St. James, I later taught my craft at Manchester Central and Liverpool City Colleges, and have been well versed in every aspect of furniture production and techniques, both traditional and contemporary.
